Mesa-ish!

We’ve made our way over to the Mesa, Arizona area and we’ll be honest… there are cacti everywhere! Being native Washingtonians, a cactus is usually something that you’d pick up at an IKEA and throw into a little glass box next to your tarantula (if you’re into spiders like that). Out in this open country, we feel like we’re bumping shoulders with cowboys—the good, the bad, and the ugly. The hills seem to want to talk to you about the toughest gusts of wind this world has ever seen, and the mountains exhibit the cultured personality of a sun-aged traveler’s brow. It makes sense that a good number of retired Washington residents make their way down to this arid region to escape the dreary cold months of the north.
It should be a good time capturing this vast landscape on film. Tomorrow we’ll be getting out and about to feature one of the few places that an Arizona man/woman can do some boating or fishing. It’s beautiful out here. We can’t recommend it enough.
