Road Bandit Reflections.

Jumping on the road and leaving your previous self behind is not one of the easier leaps a person can take during their life. We understand that there are a lot of forces holding a person down in today’s world: bills, interpersonal relationships, media induced fear, healthcare prices, retirement worries, material attachment, blah blah blah! The list goes on. The truth as we see it: someday in the fairly near future, mechanically automated systems will be set in place that will require little to no human assistance to function. At present, we are using old-world methods to navigate our way toward that reality. There’s bound to be more collateral damage than necessary given our current approach to life in the western world. According to our understanding, our nation’s unwillingness to adopt the benefits of a techno-based society has thrown many folks onto unsatisfying life paths.
It can’t be certain when the transition to a techno-society will be made, nor can we predict how violent or how long that moment in history will be. The only thing that we can be certain of at this moment is the presence of that wrenching feeling that today’s world leaves in your stomach. Against that, all of our other problems are dwarfed. The Road Bandits know that picking up and blazing across the nation is no solution, but at the very least we’re free from most of the controlling forces that have previously kept us from exploring possibilities. Freedom, in our minds, is not only the ability to have an imagination, but the ability to act on it.
Out on the road, the world just opens up. Passions can be discovered, the sun can be chased, opportunities can be explored, and a wider range of interesting people can help shape the way you perceive the world. We have faith that at some point humanity will realize what it wants to be when it grows up, but we’re not about to push paper until it does. There’s just too much to see and too much to do.

huh, waddaya know, philosophers. happening a little early in your adventures. something like this wasn’t expected till somewhere between roadweary butts and having them become calloused.
Introspection is good; keep it up.
You two are far wiser than your years would dictate. You get it. You really do. Freedom IS putting action to your dreams. Never turn down an affair that you really don’t want to attend. That is when you’ll meet someone that will have a positive impact on you and change some aspect for the good. Kept it up.
The road to self is a long and winding adventure with many a detour and a few round abouts…keep the windshield clean and the bugs outta your grill, have fun and keep chasing the sun! be safe out there road bandits!!
