Synopsis: Everyone has a moment where they want to pick up and just run away from average, escape the day to day, and live life in the moment.  Road Bandit knows no other life, in this world, you can’t control the cards you are dealt, but you have full control over how you play them.  Folding? Not an option.  Turn off all fear and doubt, leave your insecurities in the dust, and hit the road like a bandit…a Road Bandit.

Host Randy Primm travels the country in, ‘Betsy’; his 24 foot Class C RV.  He shoots life on the road in search of the answer to the long standing question, what is the true American Dream? Road Bandit has been living in ‘Betsy’ the RV since March 2008 and will depart for the epic journey late fall 2010.  Randy’s no RV expert, actually he didn’t know anything about living or driving an RV before he sold everything to take a leap of faith and hit the road.

Road Bandit is hosted on its own interactive site, Roadbandit.com, (launched March 2009) where followers “Banditos,” can vote for the next spot to be hit by the bandit.  Banditos can vote for the next location, suggest activities, festivals and monuments for Road Bandit to visit. Watch the live ‘bandit-tracker’ interactive road map to see when Road Bandit will be in your town.  Everyone gets an interactive daily feed of life on the road, allowing people to experience our great country and witness real life on the road.  So even if Banditos are at their 9-5 they can still live like a bandit, online, all the time.

Road Bandit’s goal is to enlighten and entertain viewers.  Inspire them to go outside their daily lives and live the way they want to. Banditos start out as fans and end up as friends.  One gracious Bandito even had a pizza delivered to the Road Bandit in a parking lot, and she wasn’t even in the same state! He’s been invited into homes and lives to celebrate birthdays, holidays, and special occasions with people all over the country.  And when your home town gets hit by the bandit, it’s cause to celebrate.

CONCEPT:  SEASON OVERVIEW
Get inside the life of Randy Primm as he scours the country, and even the world for the definition of the American Dream.  Life in a 6’9” RV can be damp and dirty.  Add a 6’8” 26 year old dude and his 14-year old cat named Bird into the mix, and it gets even dirtier.
Road Bandit followers, “Banditos” get to see it all in this no holds barred recording of on life on the road. Everything from cooking, to dumping (yeah, we said it…watch Road Bandit Dump his Dump) to RV maintenance and damage control (Have you ever driven a 24 ft RV through New York City?).

Road Bandit knows no limits, and lacks directions in some cases.  Intentionally limited planning on each journey provides spontaneity, surprise, and keeps the action fresh.  Rolling from city to city in ‘Betsy’ the RV, equipped with a Solar Panel on her roof and an inverter under the bed gives Road Bandit power so he can make sure viewers are always up to speed.

Roadbandit.com allows for a unique perspective and following.  An online stream is updated daily, and in some cases live feeds allow Banditos to interact and determine not only where Road Bandit goes, but also, the people he meets, activities and festivals he attends.  Have a special event in your home camp that you want Road Bandit to appear at? He’s there.  Charity event? He’s there.  You name it, he can do it.  He doesn’t know how to say no…and why say no? When you go all in, there’s no turning back.  That’s the beauty of his mobility; he travels on a whim without any qualms.  He has vowed to live life on wheels, with only the help of some friendly RV parks and the people he meets along his journey.

What is the true American Dream? Road Bandit won’t know until he gets there. What Road Bandit does know? Leaving a lasting impact on everyone he encounters; that’s his American Dream.  Host Randy Primm was born in San Diego, California and grew up in the small, albeit picturesque town of Lake Stevens in Washington State.  He’s always been adventurous, and believes boundaries are made to be tested. As a kid the phrase ‘you’re grounded’ simply meant he made his exit out his bedroom window instead of the front door.  Really, he’s your extraordinary average guy, and he’s on a mission to connect with the people of America to show them how surprisingly amazing they are too.

Randy has an eye for beauty and innate skill as an experienced videographer and editor.  He’s quick witted, and amusingly facetious in a way understood by middle children everywhere.  Missed opportunity is Randy’s only apprehension, and he’s valiant toward achieving his goals.  Always an adrenaline junkie, he’s searching for the best way to add ‘extreme’ to everything he does.  Embarrassment isn’t a word in his vocabulary, but don’t confuse that with unemotional.  He laughs when he’s happy, cries when he’s sad, tackles conflict with fervor, and embraces the tides or change.

Randy loves to make those around him laugh and enjoy life. From ridiculously eccentric, to heartfelt and moving, he can entice a smile from even the most aloof of patrons.  His motto: “Life’s short, I’m tall”…and he wants to make sure everyone he meets has the opportunity to get as many smiles out of this short life as he is.   He sold everything to move into an RV with his cat, this is a guy that knows how to laugh…a lot.
