As some of you may know and others don’t. Last month I lost my friend and feline co-pilot Bird. She lost the good fight to her second stroke. She had her first stroke a year prior and fought if off and kept on keepin on. But this stroke was too much for her at the old age of 16.
The new Road Bandit interactive web show is about to make its debut!
Tomorrow is the day I have been waiting for my whole life. The Road Bandit Project was formed in March of 2009 but tomorrow will be its real coming out party.
The show will be between 10-12 minutes long and will be every Wednesday. It will be uploaded to every major video sharing site but RoadBandit.com will be the best place to check it out.
So stay tuned for the very first episode of what some are calling the most anticipated show nobody has ever heard of :)
Indiegogo.com is the world’s leading international funding platform, helping people create campaigns and fund ideas since 2008.There are over 18,000 campaigns on IndieGoGo and now The Road Bandit Project is one of them.
So what is crowd funding and why did I choose Indiegogo.com for my campaign?

IndieGoGo was my choice over other similar crowd funding sites out there like Kickstarter.com because if you don’t meet your funding goal, you still keep the money you raise with your campaign. IndieGoGo charges a 9% fee on campaigns with unmet funding goals and only 4% on campaigns that meet their funding goals. Kickstarter.com however, doesn’t give you anything if you don’t meet your goal.

March will be 3 years of living and traveling in an RV.
To me its been 3 seasons of a hardcore sport called Road Life. Sadly these seasons have all ended with winless record when it comes to landing that first sponsorship deal.
There have been so many moments in the last couple of years where I believed 100% that I was about to land that first and most important sponsor for RoadBandit.com. Each time it starts with a great phone call or an email or a conversation over dinner and then ends with weeks of me waiting to hear back and then it was gone.
But was it actually even there to begin with?
There have been countless phone calls to my friends telling them I’ve finally done it! I got sponsorship! I did it… I finally did it! Only to feel like a liar weeks later when nothing happens.
“Nobody believes a liar…even when he is telling the truth!”
So close, yet so far away.
The fact is I am doing everything backwards. I am waiting to get sponsors when I should be moving forward and let the sponsors come to me when they see how badass and unique Road Bandit is.
I have been silent lately, waiting patiently to spread the news of a new sponsorship deal. My producer Sarah tells me to keep my head up and that nothing that is worth anything comes easy.
So maybe it might be another 3 years before I land my first sponsor but I can guarantee you this… I’m not waiting anymore and when it happens, it happens.
I am the perfect role model on what NOT to do when starting an interactive travel website. But ya know what? I’m still here, still passionate about the Road Bandit project and even though its been a struggle to get that first big win, I’m about to start another season and give the people what they want…. Road Bandit by the barrel!
It’s December 16th 2010, I’ve been up in Seattle Washington since the end of June and man am I eager to get back out on that wonderful beauty we call the open road. Since first arriving up here in Washington I have made some huge steps towards building a stable foundation that Road Bandit can operate on. I have a full-time executive producer and a Road Bandit accountant…life is good :)
I awoke two days ago to a notification on my phone that someone I’ve never met in my life decided to make a donation towards the Road Bandit Project for $200 bones. I nearly fell out of my bed with joy. Seriously dude…you rock and what timing Mr. Stephen Kiser!
We are in the first stages of developing a better website and also we are getting “Betsy” my RV repaired from last years devastating tire blow out that tore up my bathroom. All that cost cashollla and now we can start making some progress.
Money has been my nemesis since the Road Bandit Project was first started. I’ve invested every dollar that comes my way towards moving forward and keeping that drive within alive.
I plan on doing some amazing things next year and I know that if I work my ass off and show the world what I have to offer…good things will happen.

I have landed some crazy good luck in the last couple of months and I now have myself a professional Road Bandit producer on board. Her name is Sarah Kneller and we are working together to layout a plan for landing Road Bandit some sponsors. Ok, so asking people for money is not my cup of tea. I hate feeling like a charity case and it seems like I’ve always had the wrong mentality towards accepting help. I don’t know why but I must shake off this lone bandit attitude and reach out to those around me and see who wants to get involved.
So it’s time to speak up and spread the word…the Road Bandit project is moving forward at a speed determined by how much effort I put into it and how much those around me support it.

Road Bandit 3.0 is here!
I have spent the last couple of months up in the raining state of Washington putting together a plan and a team to get this Bandit out on the road for a long long time.
First off, I brought on a full time producer named Sarah Kneller who I have worked with up here in Seattle. Sarah is a producer with the work ethic that’s off the charts. Sarah doesn’t believe in the word “no” and see’s more potential in Road Bandit then anyone I have ever met. The second I heard Sarah was available to jump on board and help produce Road Bandit I immediately called her. Even though she won’t be traveling around with me, the value of having someone to help assist me on this epic journey is priceless. Already Sarah and I have accomplished more in the last two weeks then I have in the last two years for Road Bandit.
We have now copyrighted a full Road Bandit Treatment which describes in detail the concept of the Road Bandit project and how the website and interactive functionality will play out.
Also, we’ve formed Road Bandit Productions LLC and have laid out a plan of bringing on sponsorship and product promotion deals that will help support the Road Bandit project.

The Road Bandit Project is being evolved into possibly a weekly show and lately I have been looking at other travel shows for inspiration and format ideas. I was recommended to check out the HBO series of The Neistat Brothers because I was told it was right up my alley. So time to check out their first episode and see what the fuss is all about.

Well this week started off real crappy when I awoke on Monday to find my cat “Bird” confused and falling over as she paced around the RV. I was so confused and scared for my 15 yr old kitty companion and I immediately setup a visit to see a veterinarian. The vet told me Bird may have had a stroke during the night and she was still recovering by the morning.
The rest of Monday sucked as Bird seemed completely out of it and I feared she wouldn’t recovery. However, the next day I awoke to a happy and more active cat who seemed to be making a comeback. Then the next day she was even better and today she is pretty much back to normal and loving life.

Today was August 24th and today was my day to tell the world what life was like to be Randy Primm. I signed up at the end of the year to participate in The3six5 Project, which is a project where 365 different people from all over the world, choose a day within the year and then blog about how that day went by for them.The project is run by Len Kendall and Daniel Honigman.
I met Daniel in Las Vegas when I was his cameraman for a live-shot about social media and how it will soon effect how we get our news. After the shoot I told Daniel about Road Bandit and he smiled and started telling me about places to look into for managing my blog. I hope to be in Vegas in Oct for the Blog Word Expo and to see Daniel and get to thank him in person for all the help and for letting me be a part of The3six5 Project.

I’ll admit it, I struggle with asking for help and even accepting help when its being offered. Call it pride or call it ignorance, either way help is very powerful and nobody should turn down or be afraid to ask for.
But to depend or rely on help will send you towards a path of dependence and failure. However, to accept and embrace help will allow you to grow and eventually help others including those who first helped you. I have had a very up and down last couple of years and I know there would be a ton of more downs if I didn’t let others around me lend a hand.
Being out on the road I have seen the kindness in people that I always thought wasn’t there unless they wanted something for it. Most of these people understand how powerful their helpful hand can be and just want to help.
A helpful hand can pick someone up from the ground or stop them from falling. A helpful hand can pat you on the back and let you know that you have done well. A helpful hand isn’t always friendly and sometimes it has to slap some sense in you to really be helpful. A helpful hand can point you in the right direction and then salute you when you go for it and accomplish your goals.
To all those helpful hands I have come across so far on my journey…Thank You So Much and I am so glad I let you lend me a hand.

The Road Bandit Project is picking up steam but it hasn’t been easy. I feel like each time Roadbandit.com takes a dive and I stop producing videos and posts I let down a bunch of fans.
Like I have said many a time before… problems with money and motivation may slow me down but will never stop me.
It’s August 11th, 2010 and at the end of this month I will have completed the “Super Sober Challenge” and posted thirty-one times in thirty-one days. I know with all the wide gaps of time between posts I have lost some viewership. It’s ok, because I am going to win you back and this time it’ll be for good.
Each day now I am spending more time on Road Bandit and with each new post I am building momentum towards a special new Re-Launch that will rock your socks off! I know the viewership and comments are down right now, but that will all soon change.
My goal is to get more acquainted with my fans and bring out the interactive part of Road Bandit I have been striving for. If you’re a fan of the Bandit and want to help see me get to the next level, all you gotta do is one thing…share!
