The Snooze Button On Life

We are all guilty of it from time to time and in my case it would be most of the time. I have mentally slept through some awesome early moments in my life that if I just got myself motivated enough to get going sooner, things would be well… shoulda woulda coulda right?

Its seem like every morning I wake up I have to battle with myself to get up. Now once I get up it usually takes me about 5-10 minutes to truly be awake. This early morning battle comes down to one thing and one thing only. What is better for Randy right now…more sleep or more life. Back in the day I had Ma and Pa to come barging into my room and yell at me that the bus is outside and if I miss it I’m walking to school. Those days are gone and I am responsible for getting up and once I am up I gotta get going. I have said this many times and I truly mean it when I say it “Self-Motivation is an art” I know I am not alone on this and would love to hear some feedback on how you win the battle with the Snooze Button On Life.  In order to get up right away do you just get up and do an early morning dance? Do you stare at the ceiling until it bores you enough to get up? Do you wake and then bake…cookies? Oh yeah by the way Happy 420! So lets hear some and who knows maybe one of your tactics could get this Bandit to throw away that damn snooze button mentality.

The Bandit Is Back In Vegas

Hello World! Its Randy the “Road Bandit” and I am back in Las Vegas for a week trying to put together a nice string of jobs and shoot some fun Road Bandit Videos before I head back to San Diego. Its been a crazy last couple of months with 100′s of miles covered while driving coast to coast with the one and only Jason Moffatt. I have had some great experiences and also some pretty shitty ones as well.

Right now I am in repair mode for both Roadbandit.com and my RV “Betsy”. She took a huge hit when I first hit the road with Mr. Moffatt when I had a rear tire blowout that tore the sewage holding tank in half which caused all my crap to spill all over a Texas highway. Poor AAA mechanic had to stick his head right under the tank to put on the spare tire and shockingly he didn’t seemed to mind the stench. Sorry Texas for shitting all over your highway and when I finally get my finances together I will adopt a highway spot to try and make it up to y’all. I am starting up a massive Road Bandit Marketing Campaign in the next coming days, so get ready for content daily and videos a plenty. The Road Bandit Project is fuel for my passion to keep on keeping on and every comment or suggestion I get lets me know you all care. Thanks for reading :)

Happy Birthday Jason Moffatt

Its April 18th and I am in search of a gift for Jason Moffatt for his B-day. Jason is in San Diego while I am here in Vegas trying for some jobs. When it was my Birthday in January Jason shot a nice video for me…so what should I do for him??? I decided to consult the wise one known as “Bird” for answers.

Alby Mangels- A True Road Bandit

I have been in a weird state of mind lately and I’ve been searching for some motivation and inspiration to get me back on track. Last night I received both in the form of an e-mail from Jason Moffatt. The subject line was a very intriguing one. It read You Gotta, I of coursed opened it right away and read the following: “YouTube “Alby Mangels”…..“Dude was my hero about 15 years ago. We’d pretend to be Alby Mangels all the time.” After reading this I checked out the above video and after watching I realized that embracing your journey can really create magical moments. Alby …I’m taking notes.

Chicken Shit Bingo

Many moons ago my buddy Perry was telling about this great game called “Chicken Shit Bingo”. It takes place in a little dive called Ginny’s Little Longhorn Saloon in Austin Texas.

On Sunday’s, the Little Longhorn puts a plywood bingo sheet on top of a pool table. Then they put a wire chicken coup over the top and insert a bird. Anyone who wants to play bets $2 on a number on the board. When the bird shits, the person with the winning number takes the prize pool.

Pretty awesome huh? I thought so too.

In fact, I thought it was so awesome that I hopped onto Plenty Of Fish, (a free dating website) and attempted to score me a Valentines date for Chicken Shit Bingo.

SCORE! This girl was a sweetie all around!

The country western band rocked too. Seriously, they were superb. I love country music. Oh yeah, I almost got in a bar fight protecting a random lady from a drunken cowboy. That would of been pretty awesome for story telling.

My buddies Craig Allen and Couch Surfing Ori joined Randy and I as well. It was a all around great time. If you’re ever in Austin you gotta give this place a peek.

And if you’ll never be in Austin and just want to see a quick glimpse, here is a YouTube video I’ve snagged to give you a idea of what it’s like…. (Sorry, we didn’t shoot much footage)…

Road Bandits Mardi Gras 2010

We arrived last night in New Orleans and luckily we got hooked up by Jason Moffatt’s buddy Chad Mac who got us into the coolest RV park near Bourbon Street. Now we aren’t just near everything, we are smack dab right in the middle of the biggest party of the year. Even though night hasn’t fallen yet in New Orleans… the party has already begun. We have been shooting tons of video with the help of Couch Surfing Ori who jumped on board with us and our goal tonight is to snag a great balcony spot and party likes its 2999!
